Hotel Mercure Prague Old Town 4*
One
hundred years ago, in the building of the newly opened hotel
“Mercure Prague Old Town” resided an insurance
company, where world famous writer & philosopher Franz Kafka had
worked in. There is a bust in the lobby bar in his honor & a wonderful
collection of books in different languages in the hotel bar. Today,
the building is a beautiful example of Art Nouveau style with its romantic
interiors and facade. “Mercure Prague Old Town”
is situated in the centre of the city, a few minutes walk from the Old
Town Square, close to the metro & tram stations. Each of the 174
rooms has a minibar, hairdryer, massage shower, safe, satellite TV and
Internet access. There's one suite and two rooms are wheelchair accessible.
Non-smoking rooms are on a separate floor. The hotel restaurant, "Felice",
specializes in French cuisine and wine, but also serves traditional
Czech meals. With a glass of wine & Kafka’s novel you can
spend a pleasant evening in the charming hotel’s bar.
